We had a poutine and it was great. However, I would have put more cheese and add some on the bottom since there is a lot of fries. Gravy tasted really good. Cheese is good but not as fresh as in Quebec. The reegular one costed around 6$

This is a popular place for locals. We were directed there by some folks from Wawa that raves about the food. My opinion is that the experience was underwhelming. Food all seemed frozen prior to order and not good quality. My daughter seemed to think the cheese sticks were dry in texture. The fries tasted like they were cooked in old grease and my chicken burger was thin on size and flavour. My son did get the chicken bites and thought they were ok. In general, I hate that this wasn’t a great food experience because I was hoping for more. However, the locals do seem to enjoy it….

We were on a long cross country road trip and starving when we passed through Wawa. We caught sight of Krazy Fries - a classic, old-time roadside stop-and-go resto- from the road we could see it was a spot popular with locals and with various crews working in the area - always a good sign that it had the potential to be an amazing greasy spoon. When we pulled up we saw right away that they had a very tempting menu - we were famished and in the mood for road trip food and realized that this had the potential to get ugly in a hurry - as in we were tempted to order far too much delicious, but not-so-good-for-you food (can you say deep fried cheese curds??!!). But we exercised some restraint and settled on their bacon cheese burgers with a single order of onion rings to share. Yes, you read that right - to share! The burgers were on point: grill fried to perfection, served with crisp lettuce and good tomatoes, a slice of melted processed cheese (as such a place should serve), heaps of delicious bacon - all on an excellent bun which held up until the last delicious bite. And about those onion rings. The single order was huge! And the rings were crispy perfection. These folks know how to get their oil ripping hot and when to pull their rings out just before the beautiful golden batter turns to dark brown, bitter failure. We highly recommend Krazy Fries. The food is on point and their logo is, well, memorable!

Some friends and I enjoyed lunch at Krazy Fries after a mild hike in the nearby park. The outdoor seating was pleasant, and the staff seemed professional and prompt. The food was all excellent. I had a cheeseburger and poutine, and both were delicious. The poutine used proper cheese curds, and was very rich. My friend ordered the fried fish, and he enjoyed his meal thoroughly. Krazy Fries is an excellent choice for a meal when the weather is nice.

Krazy good! I had the regular sized poutine and it was huge. The fried, cheese curds and gravy were perfect really tasty! It said that they use original cheese curds from Quebec. The owner was so nice and kind. They probably had a hard time during the pandemic restrictions so, it’s very important to support such iconic food vendors because this little outlet is doing such a wonderful job!! I would come again and highly recommend to anyone.

Location

Welcome to Krazy Fries, a delightful eatery located at 199 Mission Rd, Wawa, ON. This charming roadside spot has quickly become a favorite among locals and travelers alike, drawing in food enthusiasts with its tantalizing approach to classic comfort food.

Krazy Fries specializes in heartwarming, indulgent dishes, with their namesake fries being the star of the show. Imagine perfectly fried potatoes topped with generous portions of savory gravy and authentic cheese curds—all the way from Quebec! The poutine here has garnered rave reviews, although some customers would prefer even more cheese to go with the ample fries. As one visitor, Sarah-Maude Bolduc, noted, it was "great" but could use a bit more cheese to truly elevate the experience.

Other menu highlights include the bacon cheeseburgers, lauded for their mouthwatering flavor and well-cooked patties—served fresh with crisp lettuce and a perfectly melty slice of cheese. Another satisfied customer, Culinary Slut, praised the onion rings as "crispy perfection," showcasing the skill of the kitchen in achieving that coveted crunchy exterior.

However, no review is complete without an honest look at the critique. While several patrons enjoyed their meals immensely, others, like Brian Faber, found the experience lacking in specific areas, such as food quality and freshness. This dichotomy in reviews suggests that while Krazy Fries boasts potential and many delighted customers, it may still be honing its consistency.

It’s a place where you can relax, enjoy generous portions, and savor the quintessential flavors of comfort food. The outdoor seating adds a pleasant ambience, inviting diners to soak in the surrounding natural beauty—a perfect complement to the hearty meals. With an owner dedicated to keeping this local gem thriving post-pandemic, Krazy Fries deserves your support.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, the combination of camaraderie among the staff, a welcoming environment, and delectable treats will likely make your visit to Krazy Fries a memorable one. Don’t forget to try the onion rings and poutine—their richness truly embodies the essence of this comforting establishment!
